In 1974, Marilyn opened Marilyn's Academy of Dance in Peoria, Arizona at the age of 22. Not many 22 year old women were starting their own businesses back in 1974. Amazing. Marilyn and Pat gave MAD Unified a home 46 years later. MAD Amazing.

Owned by Marilyn and Pat Burns, Marilyn's Academy of Dance is now in our 47th year of business in the valley. Located in Peoria, Arizona, students from Marilyn's have gone on to perform with:

WNBA Phoenix Mercury HipHop Squad

NBA Phoenix Suns Dancers

NFL Arizona Cardinals

Arizona State University Dance Team,

GCU Dance Team

And instructors with Dupree Dance Expo.

 

Our mission is to enrich the lives of students and their families through dance. We work hard to introduce and instill self-expression, discipline, and leadership in each of our students.

Our goal is to allow each dancer to experience the elements of dance; confidence, coordination, creativity, grace, musicality, rhythm, self-esteem, technique, and appreciation for music and dance. Our students, staff and parents work together to make Marilyn's Academy of Dance a family that strives to bring our students' goals, dream and visions to fruition.
